Park and Rules of Procedure of LEGOLAND Deutschland Freizeitpark GmbH
Welcome to LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort!
Hours of adventure, fun and action lie ahead of you. The entire LEGOLAND Deutschland Freizeitpark GmbH team wishes you lots of fun and enjoyment. However, we must draw your attention to some rules and specific behaviour that apply throughout the entire LEGOLAND Resort site.
Please always act carefully and with consideration. Above all, this means taking responsibility for yourself and others and observing the rules of courtesy.
Visiting our LEGOLAND Resort and using the offers is at your own discretion and risk.
The safety of our visitors, both young and old, and our employees is our top priority at LEGOLAND Resort. By complying with the following rules, you support us in our endeavours in this regard.
1. Conclusion of contract
All transactions between visitors to LEGOLAND Resort in Günzburg ("Visitors") and LEGOLAND Deutschland Freizeitpark GmbH (hereinafter: LEGOLAND) shall be governed exclusively by the following rules of these Park and Business Regulations.
Our offers are subject to change and are only an invitation to submit offers. A contract is only concluded when payment is requested by a responsible LEGOLAND employee. LEGOLAND is entitled to withdraw from the contract if payment of the respective price is not made by the visitor immediately after being requested to do so.
2. Scope of application
The regulations apply spatially to the entire area of the LEGOLAND Resort and the PEPPA PIG Park, including the access roads, car parks and of the entire LEGOLAND Holiday Village.
3. Parking
The provisions and signs of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) apply in all car parks.
To ensure trouble-free traffic, please follow the instructions of our staff.
LEGOLAND will have improperly parked vehicles that obstruct traffic or block fire brigade access or escape routes towed away at the visitor's expense and risk.
The parking fee is only charged for the car park provided. No security contract is concluded. When leaving the vehicle, please ensure that the doors and windows are closed and that no valuables are visible in the car.
Never leave your animals in the vehicle. For the animals of our visitors, appropriate boxes are available in the dog house for a fee. LEGOLAND reserves the right to inform the police and local authorities at any time if animals are left in the vehicle. Costs for such operations and the opening of the vehicle shall be borne by the vehicle owner. LEGOLAND accepts no liability for damage to the vehicle that may occur in connection with the opening of the vehicle.
LEGOLAND is equally not liable in the event of theft or damage to the parked vehicle by other third parties. This also applies if the damage was caused by storm, hail, explosion or other extraordinary events.
LEGOLAND is liable if the damage was caused by gross negligence or intent on the part of a LEGOLAND employee. Should this be the case, the damage must be reported to our guest service staff or our security service immediately after discovery, while you are still at during your visit to LEGOLAND, insofar as it is reasonable to report the damage.
4. Entry authorisations
The LEGOLAND theme park grounds may only be entered with a valid admission ticket. Admission tickets must be kept during the visit and presented on request. The admission authorisation expires when you leave the park grounds. If you wish to leave the park briefly, please contact our staff at the entrance control before leaving.
Access to the public areas of the LEGOLAND holiday village is free of charge.
The purchase of an admission ticket for the LEGOLAND theme park entitles the holder to enter and stay on the park premises during the designated opening hours and to use all services offered at the time of the visit, with the exception of services for which an additional charge is required in accordance with a separate notice at the location of the service.
Visitors are not entitled to expect that all services whose availability has been indicated by LEGOLAND in any form whatsoever will actually be offered at the time of their visit. LEGOLAND will draw attention to unavailable services at the entrance to the LEGOLAND park area as soon as it becomes clear that they will not be available for a longer period. Short-term unavailability of individual services will be indicated at the location of the service. Individual availability is partly dependent on both current weather conditions and the respective visitor demand and can therefore not always be guaranteed by LEGOLAND.
5. General safety regulations
The instructions of LEGOLAND employees must be followed in your own interest.
The possession and carrying of weapons or dangerous objects (firearms, cutting and stabbing weapons, brass knuckles, pepper spray, other gas spray cans, flammable liquids, etc.) is prohibited on the entire LEGOLAND Resort site.
In this context, we would like to point out that LEGOLAND is obliged to comply with the requirements of the Youth Protection Act and, in particular, to monitor compliance with the provisions of Section 5 (1) and (2) of the Cannabis Act (CanG), which prohibit the public consumption of cannabis and stipulate corresponding minimum distances from playgrounds or children's and youth facilities.
Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be denied access to the LEGOLAND site or may be expelled from the park without entitlement to a refund of the admission price.
Any kind of remote-controlled toys or devices, in particular drones, may not be brought into the park or operated. Operation in the car park or in the LEGOLAND Holiday Village is also prohibited.
Please note that for safety reasons, no motorised or non-motorised means of transport such as roller skates, bicycles, pedal scooters or e-scooters may be brought into the park. If this is necessary for health reasons, please report to Guest Services before entering the park.
Smoking is only permitted in specially designated areas. Otherwise there is a general smoking ban.
It is strictly forbidden to search through rubbish bins or other collection containers. The contents of the containers used for this purpose are the property of LEGOLAND.
When visiting the LEGOLAND Resort, visitors are obliged to observe the other rules of behaviour that are pointed out at the entrance and in other places, in particular for individual services or attractions. These rules of behaviour include the Infection Protection Act and the associated regulations of the Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance as amended, as well as the Youth Protection Act. Please ensure that your children wear appropriate clothing.
If, due to pandemics or other special situations, there are legal or official orders, such as the wearing of a face mask or proof of vaccination status, you are obliged to comply with these. In the event of non-compliance with the rules of conduct, LEGOLAND is entitled, in addition to asserting claims for damages, to withdraw the visitor's authorisation to visit and to expel him/her from the premises. In the event of failure to comply with a request to leave the LEGOLAND premises due to violation of a rule of behaviour, LEGOLAND will take criminal action.
6. Use of the playgrounds
Use of the playgrounds, play equipment and similar facilities is at your own risk.
7. Duty of supervision
Children under the age of eight are only admitted to the LEGOLAND theme park when accompanied by an adult.
We would like to point out to parents and accompanying persons that they must fulfil their duty of supervision, as we cannot release them from this obligation under any circumstances. In this context, parents or supervisors are responsible for any damage caused by those being supervised.
8. Sale of goods
Unless otherwise agreed, goods shall be delivered to the visitor in the quality and design customary in the trade, taking into account production-related tolerances for dimensions, weights and quality conditions.
The receipt must be kept after the purchase until you leave the park and presented on request.
9. Rights of the visitor in the event of defects in the goods
If the inspection of alleged defects reveals that the visitor has no claim due to defects, the visitor is obliged to reimburse LEGOLAND for the expenses incurred as a result of the inspection.
Claims by the visitor for defects in goods are excluded if the visitor has not notified LEGOLAND of the defect within two months of discovering it. In any case, claims by the visitor for defects in goods shall lapse within two years.
Suspension of the expiry of the limitation period ("suspension") during negotiations between LEGOLAND and the visitor concerning the existence of the visitor's rights due to an alleged defect is limited to the alleged defect. Negotiations with suspensive effect begin at the time when LEGOLAND receives a description of the alleged defect. Negotiations with suspensive effect shall end at the time when LEGOLAND has provided subsequent fulfilment or such subsequent fulfilment has failed or the visitor notifies LEGOLAND of the termination of negotiations, otherwise three months after receipt by the other party of the last statement of one party to the contract concerning the alleged defect.
The rectification of defects or delivery of a faultless replacement item ("subsequent fulfilment") shall take place without recognition of any legal obligation and shall not lead to a recommencement of the limitation period.
10. Exclusion and limitation of liability
LEGOLAND shall only be liable for damage caused by slight negligence if this is attributable to the breach of a material contractual obligation or a cardinal obligation in a manner that jeopardises the purpose of the contract. In such cases, liability shall be limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract. The maximum liability is 15 times the ticket price.
Except in cases of liability under the Product Liability Act, for a defect following the assumption of a guarantee for the quality of an item or a work, for fraudulently concealed defects or for personal injury, the above limitations of liability shall apply to all claims for damages irrespective of their legal basis, including claims in tort.
LEGOLAND is not liable for items handed over to our employees in the park or left on the park grounds.
In particular, LEGOLAND accepts no liability for items such as mobile phones, cameras, jewellery etc. that are damaged, destroyed or lost while using an attraction. Please also observe the safety instructions at the attractions. Lockers are available for valuables for a fee.
The above limitations of liability also apply in the event of any claims for damages by a visitor against employees or agents of LEGOLAND.
11. Advertising and offering of goods and services by other third parties
Advertising is only permitted on the entire premises of the LEGOLAND Resort, including the car parks, the LEGOLAND Holiday Village and the PEPPA PIG Park, with the prior written consent of the management. The same applies to the offering of goods or services or the conducting of opinion polls and counts.
The sale of vouchers, admission tickets or free tickets to and from the LEGOLAND Park and/or PEPPA PIG Park is prohibited on the entire resort premises, including the access roads.
Advertising and rallies for organisations, associations, interest groups and personal ideas by any means whatsoever are prohibited on the park grounds, inside all buildings or rides etc.. LEGOLAND reserves the right to punish offences in individual cases with expulsion from the park, civil prosecution and criminal charges for trespassing.
12. Visitor controls
Every visitor who wishes to enter the LEGOLAND theme park grounds expressly agrees to voluntarily submit to a possible check by LEGOLAND's security service.
LEGOLAND's security service is authorised to examine visitors - possibly also using technical aids - to determine whether they pose a safety risk to LEGOLAND and/or other visitors due to the consumption of alcohol and/or drugs or because they are carrying drugs, high-proof alcohol, weapons and/or other dangerous objects. For this purpose, the visitor's clothing and containers may be searched.
The instructions of LEGOLAND's security service must be followed. The security service is also authorised to subject visitors who are on the public grounds of LEGOLAND Resort to such a check.
Furthermore, our security service is authorised to deny access to the LEGOLAND premises to any visitor who represents a security risk as defined above, or to prohibit any further stay on the LEGOLAND premises. Any visitor who refuses to submit to such checks or otherwise clearly wishes to evade checks may also be denied access to the LEGOLAND site or be prohibited from remaining on the LEGOLAND site.
13. Video surveillance
The LEGOLAND Resort and the PEPPA PIG Park are under video surveillance. Surveillance is used exclusively for the safety of guests and employees, to detect criminal offences or administrative offences, to enforce domiciliary rights and to protect the facilities and equipment.
Monitored areas are labelled.
The data is passed on to investigating authorities in the event of concrete suspicion of a criminal offence, to insurance companies for exculpation and to the technical service partner as part of maintenance and system support. The storage period is a maximum of 7 days (168 hours).
14. Film and photo shoots
Commercial film and photo recordings are occasionally made at LEGOLAND Resort. As far as possible, these areas are labelled. Visitors should avoid these areas. If they do not wish any recordings to be used later for publication, visitors can contact the photographers or the film team directly. If there is no objection, LEGOLAND assumes that the images may be used free of charge.
You are permitted to take your own photos and films for private purposes, provided this does not cause any disturbance or inconvenience to other guests. In this context, we would like to expressly point out that the use of mobile phones, action cams or other photo equipment during the ride on our rides is prohibited for your own safety. LEGOLAND may demand the deletion of such film or photo recordings. Please also observe the safety instructions on the rides.
Professional film and photo shoots or live streaming via online platforms with the intention of commercial use are only permitted with the prior written consent of the LEGOLAND management. Please contact the LEGOLAND press department (email: press@legoland.de) in advance.
At various attractions, photos are taken during the ride as a snapshot of the ride, which you can then buy online or at the exit of the attraction as a souvenir. By using the attraction, you agree that a photo will be taken of you during the ride without any claim to remuneration and that this will be published on monitors or similar at short notice after you have used the attraction, stating a number for later purchase. If you have any questions, please contact the sales staff at the photo stations directly.
15. Domestic authority
LEGOLAND is authorised to expel from the LEGOLAND theme park any person found on the premises without a valid admission ticket. The same applies to visitors who contravene the rules of these Park Rules and Regulations. In the event of expulsion from the park, there is no entitlement to reimbursement of admission fees or car park charges already paid.
16. Miscellaneous
These Park Rules and Regulations govern the contractual relationship between LEGOLAND and the visitor. Amendments must be made in writing. This also applies to any provision requiring this written form.
The non-exercise of a right by LEGOLAND does not constitute a waiver of the future assertion of this right.
The place of fulfilment for all services arising from contracts concluded with LEGOLAND and the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the registered office of LEGOLAND Deutschland Freizeitpark GmbH.
If individual provisions prove to be invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
In the event of force majeure and other hindrances for which LEGOLAND is not responsible, including war, civil war, terrorist attacks, riots, lawful strikes or lawful lockouts, which have a significant impact on the fulfilment of LEGOLAND's obligations, both LEGOLAND and the Visitor may terminate the specifically affected part of this Agreement without any resulting liability to the other party.
We wish you a carefree, beautiful day and lots of fun at LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort!
